Quoting Daniel Gimpelevich (daniel at gimpelevich.san-francisco.ca.us):

Christian can try out your theory using Konqueror (etc.) "FISH" support, and
save us all the headache of trying to teach him *ix networking basics
(and why a 10Mbps hub is an obstacle to gigabit connectivity, and so on)
so he could do it in some simple and obvious way. Good luck with that.

It's possible that this thread will help someone else, via the archives,
who has a similar need to move a lot of bits across a local network
connection -- if that person can ignore the dumb obfuscation over
the term "transport", bullshit legal accusations, and the like.

I'll assume you simply don't understand the meaning of the term "libel"
-- civil litigation being one field you know even less about than the
Berkeley r-commands, if that is possible -- and so will attempt to avoid
taking offence. Of course, if you're serious, then of course you should
follow your conscience, and I'll be glad to arrange (offlist) for
service of process.
