[svlug] problems with headsets under Gutsy and PClinuxOS.

The weird thing is that the system was able to see the plantronics headset,
as demonstrated by this output:

So I am wondering how one designates the headset for use on Gutsy with
GNOME?

I think that I did see an option for Jack there somewhere in the GUI.  Does
anyone have any ideas as to how to get Gutsy to play nice with this
headset?  Meaning as to what steps I should take?
