[svlug] Suggestions for a Linux laptop?

I've been told (by an Eee owner, but he had only had it a few days)
that although it will send a signal to a projector, it will only
send native resolution (800x480). But I've heard other people claim
otherwise. Anyone with firsthand experience either way?

Aside from that it looks like a terrific machine. MicroCenter has one
on display, though you often have to wait in line to play with it.

I know several Windows users who rave about their Eees.
It's definitely converting some people to Linux, or at least to
the realization that you can do a lot without needing Windows.
