[svlug] Any recommendations for a USB-serial dongle which will work on Ubuntu?

 Why not just install the required serial port?  Installing RS232 serial port to USB serial port
hardware workarounds is asking for weird bugs. IMO, it's better to use the hardware
in the first place.
