I think the Full Option Science System (e.g.,
http://www.lawrencehallofscience.org/foss/) is a wonderful idea, but has
not a lot to do with music, not to mention open-source / free software.

(FOSS, FLOSS, etc. _still_ a notably dumb neologism, Christian.  Even
"software libre" works better in English, and that's saying something.)
