[svlug] Why do you guys Linux so much ?

Hi Tri,

There is one really important feature in Linux that is missing in Windows --
the ability to legally share it with friends.  I am a simple end users, and
so I can't really tweak the code, but I am very glad that people whom I
trust can tweak the code.

Also, I prefer to have open and standard data formats, rather than the
non-standard data formats that come with proprietary software.

So in a sense, you and I are approaching the problem from two different
vantage points:  you are looking at what Windows can do for you today, and I
am looking at what Linux can do for me tomorrow, and how Linux can help me
build a community and control my destiny.
