For me, it's the freedom and the community and the cost savings and the
stability and the control and the free upgrades and the choice and the
security and the lack of viruses and the preservation of the free market. I

I understand that there is a reasonable case to be made for Windows,
though. Fortunately, I have been able to live without Windows since early
2001. And I am a simple end user.
In fact, I am producing a documentary film called the Digital Tipping Point,
and I never would have been able to afford the computing power that I am
getting with Free Open Source Software if I had been using proprietary
software.
