If one suspects an installer offering to recognize a FAT32 partition for data interchange, a common multi boot practice, might format it - TURN IT DOWN ! I just lost my w98se legacy partition after doing installs with 9 different distro on my boxes. I have yesterdays data backup and a 2005 partition backup that might not work on this board. I suspect I can get the VMware player w98 working right fastest. I only really seem to need a video driver and maybe a monnitor driver for whatever their player mimics. Does anyone remember an easy-ish way to recover from a fat32 format? Guess I should see if the off site backup can has a better whole partition image.
PARDUS 2007.1 kept refusing to kde again after shutdown so I'm MEPIS 6.5 as primary desktop again, another disappointment.
Discovering and loading the drivers into my vmware
player looks annoying. Does anyone have a good
starting guest image for windows 98 legacies that I
can get at easily despite flaky bandwidth?
