[svlug] FOSS way to create Flash?

Dear  LUG'gers,
I am teaching a Multimedia course at SF State this semester. When I sat 
down to make a list of software for my class, the total $ value bothered 
me a bit. Then I looked to our bookstore and found out that even with 
student pricing (which is what my students would pay), the total would 
be approx. $200 for the likes of the Adobe gang. This bothered me a bit 
more, because I know where many will turn to if they decide not to spend 
the $200. Then of course, there is the licensing cost in the lab.

So, FOSS to the rescue. I have GIMP, Inkscape, Scribus, Blender, 
Audacity, NVu (all of which work on Windows) on the list. The only thing 
that I cannot find is a good way to do Flash animation. Any recommendations?
