[svlug] Hans Reiser trial will proceed

Alameda County Superior Court Judge Julie Conger has ruled, this
afternoon, that there is enough evidence that she is willing to permit
trial of Hans Reiser for murder -- despite the disappearance of both 
children to Russia (one of whom was slated to give testimony),
allegations that estranged wife Nina Reiser may have orchestrated that
disappearance and be alive and well in Russia, and the ongoing lack of a
corpse.

Judge Conger observed that, even if Hans Reiser isn't responsible his
wife's murder, he may know who killed her.

Hans Reiser is scheduled to be arraigned (read the formal accusation of 
crime, and asked how he pleads) and to have a new bail hearing on
Friday, March 23.  He has been held at Santa Rita Jail in Dublin without
bail since October.
