[svlug] Software Raid 1 vs straight ext3 partition

The main problem I have with dd is that it either 
- generates huge files or
- takes forever to compress/uncompress the files

That's why I want to use partimage. It knows what is unused space and doesn't bother wasting archiving time/space for it...
