[svlug] Mounting drives

Hey all,

I get the impression from Googling around that 
portmap is not running, and I should start it.

However, there is no start up script for it in 
/etc/init.d

Is this perhaps something that should installed 
through the package manager in Xubuntu? Seems like 
it should come with any Linux distro, right?
