[svlug] Firewalls and Internet Security

Hey Rick & all,

Just wanted to ask you about the book you 
recommended, Firewalls and Internet Security, by 
William R. Cheswick and Steven M. Bellovin.

There is a second edition available, as you said, 
but the first edition is available on line, so I 
printed out the first four chapters (before my 
printer ink cartridge went toes up) and plan on 
starting them tonight.

The second edition is about $50, which I will be 
more than willing to spend, but it is true that 
even the first edition, published in 1994, will 
have plenty of good info for someone as green to 
the subject as me?

If so, I am anxious to get reading tonight, but 
just wanted your opinion on the matter.
