Your problem presumably having been self-defined as "I'm bothered by the
log-analysis reports I've been seeing, and want them to go away."

Congratulations on not seeing those vexing log reports.

Of course, the question of whether your sshd is vulnerable to attack 
was not thereby addressed at all.  I hope that works for you, too.


Two guys are talking about their respective apartments.  One says he 
hears his doorknob being twisted by unknown persons on average once a
week.  The second says he hears about 500 doorknob twists per week.

A quick quiz for you.  Which better reflects reality?

[ ] Guy B's apartment is 500x more likely to be burglarised than guy A.
[ ] Both guys might want to ensure they lock their doors.
