Well, not being a debian guy, I don't know how to point you at different
apt repositories, but you could certainly just go to getfirefox.com or if you
have a supported processor, go to getswiftfox.com and use an optimized build.
It made a big difference for me when I was still running on my Athlon XP
system. (I just upgraded to a Core 2 Duo and they don't have an optimized
build for those yet.)
