[svlug] Firefox/Thunderbird closing

Hey all,

I have two Debian workstations running a 2.6 
kernel and on both them Firefox and Thunderbird 
will just close at seemingly random times.

Thunderbird began doing it first one one of them 
and I tried reinstalling it, but that didn't fix 
it, and now both applications are doing it on 
quite frequently.

How do I begin to track this down or repair it? 
I'm not sure where to start.

Versions are:
Thunderbird: 1.0.2
Firefox: 1.0.4

Both were installed through Debian's apt-get 
install command.
