Yup.  I know software developers who write mainly for Unix/Linux systems
that I'm virtually certain have a house full of infected Windows computers
that are part of botnets.  These are their kids' computers, they're full
of malware, they talk about how slow they run and all the disk activity
at weird times.  You tell them that those machines are almost certainly
sending out spam, and it seems they just don't care.
