The current Nvidia nForce Professional motherboard chipsets have such
terrible Linux support that I couldn't even PXEboot one of them to do
test installs onto it until I put an Intel Pro/1000 PCI-E card into the
box and shut off the onboard Nvidia NICs.  (I think that was an nForce
Professional 3600 or 3050 -- workstation board, not laptop.)

Even {shudder} Broadcom NICs are a bit better.
