[svlug] Light AMD laptop for linux?

In 2008 you should be able to buy the OLPC laptop for about $300. It
runs their version of Fedora Rawhide, using Linux BIOS and only Free
drivers. The processor is an extremely low-power AMD Geode.
It doesn't offer the screen size you want, and it has no internal
drives. However, it is quite likely that some company will build up
the OLPC design to full size and power, and might even do that without
messing up the software. Especially if enough of us asked nicely
(i.e., with money in our hands).
