[svlug] OpenOffice 2.0 can't write to mounted drives

Hey all,

I am trying to write from OpenOffice.org Work
Processor (OO 2.0) to a mounted drive on a FreeBSD
6.1 server.

All other apps have no trouble writing here from
my Xubuntu workstation, but OO gets an error
saying "Error writing shared file", but the file I
am trying to write is not shared by anything. Even
new files get this.

It has no trouble writing to my local hard drive,
the problem seems only to be across NFS to the server.

I even set permissions to 777 just to see if it
was some kind of permissions issue but to no avail.

I also tried changing the user ID to 1000 like I
did to fix kate working (which later starting
working fine regardless of the user ID if the
permissions were set properly.)

I've Googled this and seen other people getting
the same error in other different scenarios than
mine, and none seemed really relevant to my situation.

Any advice, as always, is great appreciated.
