Quoting Edward Cherlin (echerlin at gmail.com):
> We have just lost Warren Turkal from SVLUG because of our bickering.
On the evidence, it would seem more plausible that he quit primarily
because he wasn't getting his way: In particular, he quit immediately
after failing once again to convince the Volunteers list that SVLUG
should become a corporation and then send forms 1023 and 8718 with a
$500 application fee to the IRS for recognition as a tax-exempt charity.
When Jason T. Collins ceased being about to host the installfests for us
at Google, he gave us both advance warning and help finding Peter Neal
as a replacement -- who did the same when his term came. It's a shame
Warren Turkal didn't see fit to do likewise, but it was good to have his
help while it lasted.
