If this true, than it seems to me that regular (monthly?) meetings in
person or via IRC would be a good idea build rapport and resolve issues.

Subject: [svlug] Bickering

We have just lost Warren Turkal from SVLUG because of our bickering. I
would like to see the bickering stop and be replaced by civil
discourse. I can't tell anybody what to do on our mailing lists, and
neither can anybody else. We need a different approach. Suggestions?

The curious thing is that I have good personal relations with all of
the contending parties, and we almost all do just fine in person or on
IRC, although I have witnessed some exceptions. It is primarily the
mailing lists where unacceptable behavior is indulged.
