Hiya, Brian!
I'm unsure what the confusion is/was, so I'll just spell things out to the best
of my understanding, and hope that helps. I'm rounding the numbers below;
with tax on top, the real figures are a bit higher.
There's a program where you buy TWO units, but only get ONE shipped to
you. The other one goes to a child somewhere who needs it. That's a ~$400
transaction. I did that TWICE - spending ~$800 - so they're shipping
me two units.
I'm visiting Sao Paulo, Brazil with my wife (that's her home town)
over the holidays.
When I ordered the units, I was planning to take both units with me,
and leave at least
one of them down there with some kids. Unfortunately, the units I
purchased will only
arrive _after_ I'll have already left for Brazil.
On to the CALL FOR ASSISTANCE:
I'd love to still be able to do what I'd planned to do - give at least
one unit away down there.
I have two Xo units arriving _after_ I'll have left. If you ALREADY
HAVE one of the units,
or get it BEFORE THURSDAY, (from the BO-GO program; not a
prototype/early unit)...
...and you're willing to trust me (always a question, but I am _very_
easy to find; http://reiber.org )...
Would you be willing to "trade" your unit for one of the ones I'm
getting, so I can still do that?
SECOND CALL FOR ASSISTANCE: If you _know_ someone who fits the bill above,
and isn't on the SVLUG list - would you please forward this request to them?
Thanks so much... and hopefully, some children in Brazil will thank you, too!
Best regards and Happy Holidays!
