[svlug] $400 ultraportable linux boxes

I have the ASUS EeePC - 4GB version without WebCam - 349.00 retail.

It only has 512 MB of RAM and runs a XANDROS derivitive (Debian of
course), based OS and is quite polished.  The keyboard is very small and I
cannot stand the trackpad mouse - very spongy. I use an external Logitech
Mouse with it.

Central Computer has them in stock and on display so you can go and fiddle
with it and get an idea of how it operations...

I like the OLPC, but it looks to childish for my favor.
