# It's not on my debian system either - and I don't remember a time when
# doing a right click mouse on a kde desktop brought up a menu that
# included a terminal app. Mine has "create new, run command, paste
# clipboard" plus a few others.

It is in the earlier Fedoras. In fc6(?) they broke it, but there's an
RPM you can download to fix it.

I've tried doing a
grep -ri "create new" *
in a couple of places to try to find the file, but I didn't have any
luck.

# One thing to do is to do an alt-f2 whenever you need a terminal - and
# type in konsole or some other terminal program when you need it. But
# that's tedious when you can just go ahead and run terminal from the
# panel at the bottom of the screen, which is how I do it.

I've got it in the panel, I also have an icon in the desktop.

There are two issues:
1) I'm lazy and don't want to retrain my fingers
2) It annoys me that I can't find the configuration files.
When I want to poke under the hood, I like to at least be able to
   find the hood release.
