I too purchased a Canon Rebel XT recently and was wondering about the
same thing. I am still getting used to the controls and it would be
great to share notes and discuss related softwares.

I currently use photoshop and picassa for image manipulation (never got
my head around to using gimp). I stay at Santa Clara and dont have a
car, it would be great if we can meet someplace I can bike to (or my
place)
