I do like that idea, Karen.  It will allow for easier ratification of
the by-laws by the community.  

I also like your first by-law suggestion - if we cannot handle our own
mud (i.e. services and servers), we shouldn't be here supporting anyone
in any capacity and that is partially what this LUG should be about -
supporting those who come looking for knowledge and sharing with our
peers to help each other grow.
