No, IMHO, Kristian was expressing frustration with the acrimony on this
list.  Robust debate certainly is vital to any organization, but can we
please each ask ourselves candidly what we can do to increase the civility
on this list?  IMHO, it is possible to make a point without decreasing the
civility of the tone of the discussion.

FOSS is going to make the world a much better place, and we have much work
to do to achieve a more widespread adoption of FOSS.  Greater civility will
enhance our effectiveness.  If I understand him correctly, Kristian was
expressing discouragement with some caustic remarks that have been made on
the list, and he was not alone.

It is true, though, that I am glad that he has apparently not yet left.  He
is a positive influence on this list.
