I'm sure you'd indeed have preferred that the membership not be able to
hear our December speaker's suggestion. Silencing our featured speakers
would be a nice next step.

I'm not even going to catalogue all of the things I've been taking care
of, because, as a reminder, I have ceased propping up your
administration. You are vastly in error, but I'm going to stop there.

> - dealing with lots of unfinished business of the previous administrations

Actually, _not_ dealing with it, and mucking up pretty much everything
that had been built before you. I especially liked your denying to Mark
Weisler his suggestion that the book publishers who send us review copies
might want at least _some_ percentage of them to actually get reviewed.
You said, no, they're just free stuff for us to take home.

News flash: User groups that consistently review NONE of the review
copies shipped to them get crossed off the list for future shipments.
At this point, I am not surprised to find you shooting your _successors_
in the foot, along with your sabotaging of current volunteers.

> - finding sponsors to replace the ones that had to stop sponsoring us

Driving _away_ sponsors like Linode, by breaking our word to them and
destroying our reputation for integrity.

> (digging into my own pocket during the gap)

Would that be the pocket into which you _personally slipped_ the money
collected at a general meeting from members to reimburse Mark Weisler,
who had ended up holding the bag on the renewal payment for svlug.org?

To use your wording, let's review: Against my strong warning to the
contrary, Heather had set up all domain contacts to go through a single
SMTP mail server (hers), whose /etc/alias contents she then failed to
carry forward during a system rebuild. This avoidable mishap not
withstanding, despite our (thus) not receiving _any_ of the renewal
notices from Joker.com, I was independently monitoring the situation to
prevent disaster, and kept sending you e-mails, which you acknowledged,
saying we were now two months out from expiration... one month... three
weeks... two weeks... one week.... At around two days out, seeing no
sign of leadership concerning the one asset we cannot afford to lose, I
whipped out my personal credit card and pumped three years more onto the
registration myself.

I mentioned the renewal on the Volunteers list, and suggested that if
anyone were grateful about my saving everyone's ass, it might be nice to
reimburse my $36. You did nothing. Mark Weisler, being embarrassed on
SVLUG's behalf, showed the leadership required to _personally_ front me
the money, and then consulted with you. You rather reluctantly gave a
very half-hearted mention at a general meeting that anyone who felt like
pitching in might do so.

A small amount of cash came in despite your lukewarm description of the
reason -- and then _you took that cash yourself_!

(At a later general meeting, you finally allowed a second collection to
get taken, and Mark was finally reimbursed.)

> - finding volunteers to replace the ones that had to stop helping us
> (and juggling the balls myself during the gap)

Yeah, good job at the retrograde motion on that one.

> - finding speakers with Ani and arranging special guest appearances at
> installfests and such

That's basically _all_ Ani. If you had Clue One about how to reward
volunteers, you would correctly reflect the credit back to him.

> - accomodating various volunteer's desires, even when it's of
> questionable benefit to SVLUG

Behaving in an embarrassing _manner_ towards speakers, and making
inappropriate public requests for favours.

> Walkthru efforts come immediately to mind

In which the entire thing _would_ have been at best a waste of time
until Jim Dennis took pity on the effort and saved your ass. Again.

> -> I've _moderated_ only one volunteer in my entire administration.

You only injured our mailing list's reputation for integrity, and
destroyed my progress in that area, once. Ah, I see.
