Right on! Yes, when I worked for IBM running a small Linux lab at our
University of Massachusetts Amherst, we had to make a decision in
early 2005 about whether or not to renew the RH licenses. We threw
out RH and installed Ubuntu on all the machines :-) In all honesty, I
think the problem with Red Hat is that they are too Americanized.
Ubuntu is great because the distro is worldly. This is something Red
Hat cannot overcome and will eventually be their downfall. As
Canonical further penetrates the African and European markets, this
will only continue. The world does not trust American corporations,
and to tell you the truth, as an American myself, I cannot blame
them...
