All the "religions" I know of are specifically targeted towards the
betterment of humanity and self-progression, with a very small number
of minor exceptions.

A church about religion would probably be better assigned the title of
"Cult," since it only makes logical sense that by first understanding
the enigma that is ourselves that we can raise a society of sentient
computers (which would be the only real basis for a technology
religion, IMHO.  You can't really have a religion without God, and in
a religion about technology the god would need to be us, since I know
from personal experience that computers aren't more powerful than me.)
