How important is it to you that it be on a Web site that you host
yourself?  Because if you want easy, Flickr is the way to go in my
opinion.  The social aspect of it is cool too, as people link to and
comment each others photos and stuff like that.  It may not be Open
Source but it does have good support for Creative Commons - photos of
mine have been used in a variety of different applications, and I
think a lot more people see my photos than would if I hosted them on
my own site.
