[svlug] Fedora Core 6 cloned with Ghost can't boot

Cloning dual-boot systems can be a real bitch. We use Optiplex 745's
here too and I've had the most luck with Ghost4Linux
<http://sourceforge.net/projects/g4l> . It allows you to take a raw
bit-by-bit dd image of a system up to an FTP server. Then you can boot
up the rest of the machines with the G4L CD and pull the image down to
them. You can also use PXEboot for imaging lots of systems at the same
time. I usually don't get grub errors when I image with G4L, but if I do
I can usually just copy the menu.lst file from the original pc I was
cloning. I was talking to someone from Ubuntu at Linuxworld and he
suggested using Clonezilla <http://clonezilla.sourceforge.net/> . It
looks pretty complex, but I haven't experimented with it yet - you might
want to try that one too.

Subject: [svlug] Fedora Core 6 cloned with Ghost can't boot

I have 20 DELL Optiplex 745 desktop computers, with identical hardware,
that need dual-boot between Windows XP and Fedora Core 6 installed. I
successfully setup a model computer and then use Symantec Ghost to clone
the rest of the computers. However, all the cloned computers display the
following error message when booting up in Fedora Core 6. Windows XP
works fine.

How to resolve this problem? Thank you.
