The linux picnic mailing list and website are run by the same people as
always. They are open to anyone who wishes to volunteer.

Check out the website at http://www.linuxpicnic.org.

We are sorely in need of volunteers. If you are interested the webpage
here: http://www.linuxpicnic.org/twiki/bin/view/Picnix16/VolunteerInfo has
information about what areas we need help with. The mail list is the same
http://www.linuxpicnic.org/mailman/listinfo/linuxpicnic

Don't forget to RSVP here: http://www.linuxpicnic.org/guests/rsvp.pl

On the front page here:
http://www.linuxpicnic.org/twiki/bin/view/Picnix15/WebHome
you can see some of what the picnic looks like.

In the past we have had a "Participating Organizations" section on the
website (in addition to the Sponsors section). I think one of the big
gripes this year is that we don't have this section. The great thing
about the Linux Picnic is that anyone can help out, and you can even sign
up to help out with the development of the website. It's all wiki based.
http://www.linuxpicnic.org/perl/slauth/register/mailman. Even if you
aren't able to attend the picnic but want to contribute this would be a
great way to help out.

We definitely need First Aid, Food purchasing, Food preparation, Setup,
Breakdown/cleanup, and Welcome table volunteers. William Estrada and the
SVWUX group have organized wireless internet connectivity for the picnic
this year. If you are curious about setting up this kind of thing, talk
to William Estrada to find out more information.

Many thanks to those people who will go to the picnic this year have a lot
of fun, and especially for those who have volunteered in the past, and
will continue in the future.

Jennifer
