It's really a matter of diminishing returns, Bruce:  It's extremely
unlikely that we would ever have a _complex_ close election.  The only
time one has even had multiple candidates was the one between Marc
Merlin and Karsten Self -- and pretty much any vote-counting algorithm
in that case would have given common-sensical results.  Careful use of a
preference-voting method would be beneficial in some situation where a
Ross Perot character emerges and creates a more-complex race -- which I
just don't see happening.

I'm not being critical of anyone wanting to spend his/her own time and
energy setting up sophisticated voting systems for SVLUG; I just
personally think we have more pressing and significant issues, which I'd
personally prefer to work on, as much more likely to matter.
