It's really difficult to put out my flaming eye... ; )

I'd just sorta make something locally and then submit it when I think
it's safe (my student's code is liable to hurt someone/something).

Yah, I was thinking about others who haven't figured out that grep
exists yet. Or for those that join and don't have aeons of archives in
their harddrives.

Yah, I would try MediaWiki first (the original one). But that's just
me.

I absent-mindedly clicked on that link and found this:
http://www.svlug.org/404-old.shtml
What a laugh!

MySpace is all full of prurient teens and their attached 30-year-old
cyber-stalker enemies. I could make a thing that's "better" in a few
hours.

True... however, most of the .name domains are taken, and all the others
are getting filled up so dang fast...

Doesn't scare me. Just use CVS/SVN and whenever someone makes a mistake
just roll back and you're fine.

I'm not "involved" enough to know whether what you say is true. I
should be getting my Driver's License by the end of the month or so, so
I look forward to being able to show up and participate and hopefully
contribute more.

Dangit, I'm going to have to learn more about rsync. It's in portage...
it's popping up everywhere. Something this widespread has to be good.
