Correction:

I just double-checked, and nowhere in her entire lengthy mail did
she say anything about withholding any telephone number.

Your error kind of further demonstrates my point, that burying one's special 
"don't give this part out" requests in the _middle of a press release_ is
dumb, doesn't it?

FYI, I've now been through an absurdly large amount of offlist mail on the
subject.  She revised her request to encompass removing her name and
e-mail address from the Web archive:  At first, she'd said just her e-mail 
address.  (Also, we had to explain what a Web archive is.  Then, we had 
to explain what a _mailing list_ is, and then re-explain what a Web
archive is.  I mean no criticism:  No real reason why she should know.)  

I've passed that request -- both versions -- onwards to SVLUG officers
who can implement it.  If you think she _meant_ to also request elision
of her telephone number, please feel free to take that up as well, but
I'm done.  Meanwhile, she's happy to find that our members are nice
people, and is delighted that a couple have telephoned based on my post.
