Subject: [Volunteers] San Jose State Univ E-waste Recycling Event

Dear Sirs:

I got your names and email addresses from the SVLUG website. I wanted to let you and your members know about our upcoming free e-waste disposal/recycling event, happening at San Jose State University, July 21st, 22nd, and 23rd.

I know this is very last minute, but I only found the information this weekend while searching the internet for pc user groups in Silicon Valley. I was wondering if you could possibly pass the information along to your members to let them know they can dispose of their unwanted electronic equipment at our event - at no charge.

I have an event flier I can e-mail you, but I must e-mail it as an attachment and didn't want to do that without your permission. If you wish me to e-mail you the flier, please let me know at rhonda at noewaste.com (but PLEASE do NOT give out my e-mail address. I will be inundated with questions! The flier has our toll free number where people can call with questions.)

In the absence of sending you a flier, I have included event information at the end of this email - in straight text format. (boring but complete!!)

FYI - any California business, organization, and/or resident is welcome to come and drop off their e-waste items - at no charge. And there is no limit to the amount of e-waste that can be dropped off, as long as the items are on the "accepted" list (as shown on the flier). All items will be recycled as part of a state-funded recycling program.

I thank you for any help you can give in spreading the word.

Sincerely,
Rhonda Chaikin
