I'm on a short term contract for a company about an hour away. I can
log into their VPN if I boot my laptop up in Windows and use it to
connect.
It would be convenient if I could log in via my linux desktop box (and
my laptop running Linux). I tried installing the cisco vpn client, but
am having a hard time configuring it. It keeps asking about group and
group password, issues that didn't come up with the Windows VPN that
just wanted server, user and password.
Their IT guy says that conpany X is using a MS RRAS/VPN server, and
that the cisco vpn client works best with cisco VPNs so if there's a
PPTP client for that it would work best.
Any clues or suggestions?
Thanks,
Larry
By the way, my laptop, a vaio pcgfx190 needed to get Windows
reinstalled, which piffed my Linux partitions. So when I reinstalled
Linux I installed fedora core 5 and it seems to do the best job so far
of working with all of the hardware on this laptop right out of the
box.

Software that holds your hand is one thing, software that holds your
hand and won't let go is really, really annoying.
