I bought a Netgear WG311T refurbished $16 from Fry's. Atheros chipset. 
The first one was completely dead, I returned it and the second one was 
good.

It works fine with the Madwifi driver, which does not come standard with 
my distribution, but it was easy enough to install. Just have to 
remember that the name of the interface is ath0.
