This talk will focus around postmortem, production environment
debugging for .NET applications across all versions of the .NET
framework.
Allan's presentation will cover .NET memory fundamentals and
then, depending on time, the following Microsoft debugging tools:
WinDbg: Windows debugging using WinDbg, including how to
setup and configure WinDbg.
ADPlus: How to use ADPlus troubleshoot any process or application
that stops responding (hangs) or fails (crashes).
DebugDiag: How to use DebugDiag to troubleshoot hangs crashes
and leaks in any process.
SOS Debugging Extensions : How SOS Debugging Extensions (SOS.dll)
helps you debug managed programs in WinDbg and Visual Studio by
providing information about the internal common language runtime
(CLR) environment.
Allan Naim is a Technology Specialist specializing in Process
Integration at Microsoft in Mountain View, where he provides
pre-sales technical expertise to ensure successful evaluation,
adoption and implementation of Microsoft Integration solutions.
He has been with Microsoft for 2 1/2 years. Before that, he was
a senior software engineer for several startups specializing in
VOIP, E-Commerce and Image Processing.
