one sure must be super "ugly" for that to be an advantage/"con" :-)

there's hundred other reasons for and against telecommute ...

there goes your one and only $125K/yr weekday job :-)
( aka school or other jobs has priority over the new one )

$$$ is NOT the only issue for hiring somebody part-time or full time

you get hired because you generate enuff magic pixie dust for
the hiring manager's "you're-the-needle-in-the-stack-they-want"

- pixie dust formula ==
$$$ you want ( minor issue to those that want *you* )
	+ what you know
	- who you know
+ who wants to give you a shot
+ who doesn't want to do what you're gonna be doing
	- who you gonna go have the afterwork party drinks
	+ as marti says ... status/schedules/deadlines/performance/management
	- endless list of hiring critia .. different for everybody

	- social skills ... probably goes lot further than techie stuff
that everybody can read a book/webpage to learn the basic geek talk

- what makes *you* different from the other 400 others at say the picnic

	- i bet there's a bunch that will work for 1/2 of ($$) what you wanting

	- i bet there's others ( like me ) that will charge 10x what you're wanting
for the same tasks and/or other problems/issues

- some of my silly hiring tests ... :-)
	- if you have a cord ... ( have strings attached ) .. you're out
	- if you have an antenna .... ( wierd ) ............. you're out
	- if you have springs ....... ( job hopping ) ....... you're out
	- if you have/accept paypal for payment ............. you're out
	- if you don't have an office ....................... you're out
