I'm about 430 ft. away from 2 different bases and definately need some advice about antennas etc. to get reception in our stucco house . Getting some idea about signal strengths and what they mean would help reduce purchase risks immensely .  I'm wondering if I could make due with just the free PEP unit and a clever external antenna . The free service could easily outperform our dial up " Internet Service Provider " , but bloat = the real problem . I'm also thinking of running for SVLUG because bayLISA over uses board members as volunteers and we try to neglect our deliberative duties , I hope to bring a better compromise to SVLUG .  Amongst other things I learned K&R C in college and worked for the Registrar of Voters as an inspector more than once , including verifying that a nightmare set of poll workers needed firing at one precinct . Some of you know me from installfests .
