[svlug] Recommendations for a Linux-friendly laptop

I can't recommend a PC notebook. However, I can highly recommend
Parallels (www.parallels.com) for your VM. It costs $50 for a PC ($80
for a Mac, which I have). It also is much faster and an easier install
than VMware (versions 1, 2, and 3), which I have also had for both
Windows and Linux as base OSes. On my MacBook, parallels runs SuSE,
RedHat, and Kubuntu flawlessly under MacOS X 10.4 (Tiger). Their PC
version is more mature than their Mac version.
