OK, on further looking I think in this case it was the one announced a
little below the middle of the page at
http://linuxgazette.net/issue68/lg_bytes68.html -- among other places.
But that was five years back, and the links go only to construction
sites. There are indications on other sites that it may be a moveable
Fest, but none I found telling who had sponsored it.
It may or may not be something we could do here; and there may or may
not be an active node of linux-people all but in our back yard that we
don't know about. (There's no indication I can see of why the sponsors
chose Galax.)
