Senior Software Engineer (Linux) - Platform Team

Santa Clara, CA

 

Summary: 

 

The Senior Software Engineer (Linux) will be a senior member of the
Infrastructure team in Engineering and will be responsible for our
Linux-based appliance platform. This position requires strong Linux
systems programming experience (Both in Kernel and User-space
development experience).

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

*	Analyzing and debugging Linux kernel issues including support
for new Hardware types and multi-core performance tuning 
*	Work to migrate Infoblox product environment to new Linux kernel
and tool chain release 
*	Design and develop application features  (non-kernel user-space)


 

Skills & Experience:

 

*	10+ years software development experience 
*	Linux kernel development experience including device drivers and
multi-core performance tuning  is required 
*	User-space multi-threaded application development experience is
required 
*	Linux kernel experience with x86 based platform and socket
programming expertise is desired 
*	Ability to work in a startup-like fast paced environment 
*	Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with
engineers/management in technical forums 

 

Education:

 

*         CS/EE required. Graduate degree in CS/EE preferred.
