You should be: 

- Quick to learn new technologies. 
- Strong knowledge of Data Structures, Algorithms, Concurrency 
- Experience developing on multiple platforms (Linux, Solaris) 
- 5+ years of Java OR Ruby 
- 3+ years of MySQL 
- Strong with networking protocols (sockets, UDP, TCP) 
- Have solid full SDLC experience 
- Prefer high iterative development experience (RUP/Scrum/etc.)
