Hi, Zubin.  Please tell your employer this:

1.  What you've spoken of isn't a 'site'.  It's the archive of a mailing 
list.  (See:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electronic_mailing_list )
We cannot help noticing that many people seem to not know what a mailing
list is, and confuse them with Web sites.

2.  The fact that the mailing list is publicly archived is prominently
disclosed to people who post to it.  If they choose to post to it, they
know or should know that the posting will persist in the archive
indefinitely because it becomes part of that mailing list's posting
history.  If they don't want their postings permanently archived, they
are free to not post.

I notice that the person who posted the job posting, in this case, was
in fact you.  If you didn't want your posting permanently archived, you
were free not to post.

3.  Our policy is that we do not retroactively delete prior postings
from our mailing lists without extremely good reasons, e.g., real legal
concerns.  That is because doing so mars the mailing lists' posting
history, and because doing so requires very significant work.  You have
not provided anything remotely approaching a reason, let alone an
extremely good one.
