Sorry if that post sounded brusque, but I was in a tearing hurry because
of a busy day -- and was basically clean out of time.  Backing up:

Lisa, when you have a couple of minutes -- and it's not urgent -- please 
point us in the right direction, about how to enable local svn
authentication on the Linode host.  I volunteer to revise the Web Team
docs, once I have that down.
