[web-team] svlug is down

What Mark might not have been aware of, when he addressed that mail to
"web-team at lists.svlug.org", is that it was then -- and remains for now
-- an address handled by Mailman on the same machine at Via.net that has
for a very long time housed almost all SVLUG Internet services.  The
Via.net machine's IP address is:

lists.svlug.org has address 157.22.20.227

Until last night, the main Web pages, reached through FQDN
"www.svlug.org", were also housed on that same machine.  Last night, we
took advantage of the sudden downtime to complete the planned migration
of the main Web pages to our Linode virtual host.  That virtual host's
IP is:

:r! host www.svlug.org
www.svlug.org has address 64.62.190.98

FQDNs www.svlug.org, mail.svlug.org, and web.svlug.org (the latter two
little used, if at all) now all point to the Linode host.  FQDNs
svlug.org, lists.svlug.org, and ftp.svlug.org remain pointed at the
Via.net host.

Because Mark addressed his mail to a mailing list housed and serviced on
the machine that was down, his mail was of necessity not processed until
the Via.net machine came back up -- which it did through Mark's good
offices in reviving it.

We are now one step closer to migrating the remaining services (really,
just Mailman and its associated Web pages, plus a small amount of SMTP
mail traffic not associated with Mailman) to elsewhere, at which point
we'll be able to rebuild and repurpose the old hardware.

Anyone who's not familiar with this matter should look up details in the
archives of the Volunteers list, where it's been detailed exhaustively,
over and over and over.  (I'm done with regurgitating those details:
People should finally read the da&*@#$# archives for a change.)

("webmaster at svlug.org" is an /etc/aliases entry that redirects to
web-team at lists.svlug.org".)
